I am originally from Miami, Florida (USA), where I began to study (classical) piano at age 5, started playing in pop and rock bands at 17 years, and migrated to Switzerland at 20. There I began to compose on multi-track recorders some first original music and since have never stopped playing with new ideas. The various musical styles converging in Switzerland was a refreshing change from the states, giving lots of new impressions and inspirations. I enjoyed working with many wonderful talented artists live, and producing tracks in some fantastic studios - creating music for theater, TV, movies, and "normal" music productions. With the surge of electronic music in the 90's, the public¨s attraction to DJ¨s was very strong, and left live musicians a little out of the picture. In 1997 while making my second CD in New York, I saw the first live performances (DJ's spinning Techno House,, down tempo, and Organic Grooves including mixing World music with electronica) with live musicians improvising. Alot of it was wild and underground-y, but gave me a vision....I was fascinated and in love with the electronic and world beats, so with a personal longing to perform live again after many years spent mostly in studios - came the birth of my Live Lounge (& new - Club-Lounge) Project. A singer/keyboardist in a lounge or club setting - solo with new style backing tracks and/or improvising live with DJ's or other musicians, creating lyrics and melodies to their tracks, sometimes interacting with the audience. For parties and events I love to also do some favorite classic tracks, and take painstaking efforts to ensure the backings and remixes are cool, modern and well produced. My favorite CD compilation was always Cafe del Mar, and I dreamed for years to be on there. After meeting and working with Alex Voegele, a brilliant talented artist who actually does this only for fun (is father of two and busy lawyer all day!) we landed two songs on the compilation and are working on a new CD. Many thanks all you great guys and ladies at CdM! The next breeze of new tunes and improvs will hopefully ring with some new fragrant inspirations... I hope you like the music - feedback is most welcome! Peace Jillene
